Greater Tokyo

Izu Ohito Country Club

Opened in 1976, this 27-hole championship course has hosted many JLPGA Tour tournaments, including the Century 21 Ladies and Isuzu Ladies. Located 130 kilometers (81 miles) southwest of central Tokyo, it can be reached in about 90 minutes via bullet train and car.

Although there is a membership system, visitors are welcome to use the restaurant, lockers, shower facilities, and shop in the cozy clubhouse.

This is a scenic hilly course located in the Fuji Hakone Izu National Park. Scenery includes Mt. Fuji to the north and the Amagi mountain range to the south. The course's average elevation is about 400 meters (1,300 feet ), making it relatively cool in summer. Although the course is hilly, each hole's ups and downs are moderately well absorbed. It features sprawling fairways and dazzling white sand bunkers.
