Hakonekohan Golf Course

A beautiful resort golf course located along the shores of Lake Ashinoko in the Hakone area. Being the closest hot spring destination to Tokyo, it is popular among locals and tourists alike. Although it is a public course, the course and clubhouse have a high-class feel and many fans.

The course is located about 100 kilometers (62 miles) southwest of the center of Tokyo. It can be reached via bullet train (Shinkansen), express train (known as the “Romance Cars”), and limousine buses in around 90 minutes. If you can, staying in Hakone and enjoying hot spring bathing, lakeside tours, visits to museums, and other sightseeing activities are strongly recommended.

You can use the restaurant, lockers, shower facilities, and shop in the cozy clubhouse.

Features

It is located at an elevation of 740 meters (approx. ft.2,430), making it relatively cool and comfortable to play in summer. The fairways are ryegrass so that you can play on green grass all year round. There are five holes with ponds, so strategic course management is required.

  • Carts/Caddies: 5-seater passenger carts with GPS navigation are available for use. Optional caddies are available.

      Dress Code
      Proper golf attire (no t-shirts or jeans). Except in summer, players are expected to wear a tailored jacket or blazer in the clubhouse.
